3. Attorney-Client Relationship
An attorney-client relationship is formed only when:
- You have entered into a written retainer agreement with us
- We have agreed to represent you in a specific legal matter
- You have paid the required retainer fee
Visiting our website or contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship.
4. Scope of Representation
Our representation will be limited to the specific matters outlined in our retainer agreement. We do not provide legal advice outside the scope of our representation unless specifically agreed upon in writing.
5. Client Responsibilities
As our client, you agree to:

- Retainer fees paid in advance
- Costs and expenses incurred on your behalf

7. Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information and communications, subject to attorney-client privilege and professional conduct rules. This confidentiality continues even after our representation ends.
8. Conflicts of Interest
We have procedures in place to identify and manage potential conflicts of interest. If a conflict arises, we will address it in accordance with professional conduct rules and may need to withdraw from representation.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount of fees paid for our services. We are not responsible for:
- Outcomes beyond our control
- Changes in law that affect your matter
- Actions of third parties
- Consequential or punitive damages
10. Professional Standards
We adhere to the professional conduct rules and standards established by the Law Society of Ontario and other relevant professional bodies.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate the attorney-client relationship subject to professional conduct rules and the terms of the retainer agreement. We may withdraw from representation for professional or ethical reasons.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from our representation will be resolved through:
- Direct negotiation
- Mediation
- Arbitration (if agreed upon)
- Court proceedings in Ontario, Canada
